Description

A crisp white dial carrying gold Roman numerals at the quarters and slim batons between, set in a two-tone round case with a polished gold bezel. The seven-row bracelet in steel and gold tapers in tightly, and the whole watch is small, flat and easy.

It is complete. The red Omega presentation box is here, along with the red suede pouch stamped with the World Service Organization medallion, and the International Warranty card filled in by the retailer.

The card names the jeweller as Arnel Jewelers, records the watch number 56196740-1456 and a sale on 11-24-01. Paperwork like this is what separates a ladies quartz Omega from a ladies quartz Omega with a history.

Omega made De Ville its dress line in 1967 and the small two-tone ladies quartz became one of the longest running shapes in the catalogue, sold through authorised jewellers worldwide with a stamped International Warranty card in the box. Most of those cards were lost within a year. Having the card, the pouch and the box together lets a buyer trace the watch back to the counter it was sold across.
