Description

A study in black and steel. The tonneau case is slim and softly barrelled, all brushed and polished planes with no bezel to speak of, so the dial runs almost to the edge of the watch.

That dial is a deep, flat black, broken only by applied steel batons and the winged Longines signature, with Sapphire in script alongside. Understated to the point of severity, and all the better for it. Signed Longines buckle on black croc-embossed leather.

• Dial: Black dial deep and even, markers secure. Light dust specks visible under macro, easily cleaned at service.
• Case: Steel case in good order with light wear.
• Crystal: Good.
• Movement: Serviced and running properly.
• Strap: Black leather with signed Longines buckle, light wear.
• Note: The dial carries the word Sapphire alongside the Longines signature. We have not been able to document it as a named model line, and it may simply denote the sapphire crystal, so we describe it as a dial marking rather than a model.
