Sell Your Vintage Watch

If you own a vintage watch and are considering selling it, ReWrist may be interested. We buy selectively. Not every watch fits our inventory, but we are always looking for quality vintage Swiss and Japanese pieces from the 1940s through 1990s.

What We Look For

ReWrist specialises in vintage luxury timepieces. We are most interested in the following:

  • Vintage Swiss luxury: Omega, Longines, Universal Geneve, Rolex, Tudor, IWC, Cartier, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Girard-Perregaux, Zenith, Tag Heuer, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and similar.
  • Vintage Japanese: Seiko (5, 6139 chronograph, Grand Seiko, King Seiko, Lord Matic, SKX), Citizen (Bullhead, early Eco-Drive), Orient classic automatics.
  • Complete sets: Watches with original box, papers, and documentation are particularly welcome.
  • Original condition: We prefer unrestored dials, original hands, and unpolished cases over refinished pieces.
  • Era: 1940s through 1990s generally. Earlier antique pieces are considered case by case.

What We Are Not Looking For

  • Modern watches still in production (2000s onwards) - we specialise in pre-2000 vintage only
  • Heavily polished cases or refinished dials without disclosure
  • Non-running watches requiring major restoration (case by case)
  • Smartwatches, fashion watches, or unbranded pieces
  • HMT watches (we do not currently stock this brand)

How It Works

Step 1: Send us photos and details via WhatsApp. Send clear photos of the dial, caseback, crown, movement (if possible), and any box or papers. Include the brand, model, reference number (if known), your asking price expectation, and your location.

Step 2: Initial response. We respond within 24 hours with either interest and a price offer range, questions for more information, or a polite pass if the watch does not fit our inventory focus.

Step 3: Physical inspection. If we are interested, we arrange shipment or in-person inspection. For watches over Rs 50,000, professional inspection at our Bangalore service partner is included before final payment.

Step 4: Payment. Final payment is made via bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/UPI) once the watch is inspected and both parties agree on the final price.

Pricing Philosophy

We offer fair market prices based on recent international comparables (Chrono24, eBay completed listings, auction results), adjusted for the Indian market. Our offer will typically be 60-75 percent of the expected retail price we would list the watch at, which accounts for our cost of inspection, servicing, photography, warranty, and margin.

If you prefer to maximise your return, we also offer a consignment option where we list the watch on our behalf, handle the authentication and sale process, and share the proceeds. This typically nets sellers 80-85 percent of the retail sale price.
